Titan Books has swooped for a two-book deal with Nat Cassidy for his “cinematic horror”, When the Wolf Comes Home.
Fiction editor Daniel Carpenter acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Peggy Boulos Smith at Writers House. When the Wolf Comes Home will be published in April 2025.
A horror novel concerning parenthood, children and “the monsters that pursue them”, When the Wolf Comes Home is pitched as a “werewolf novel unlike anything you’ve read before”.
Carpenter said: “Nat Cassidy is one of horror’s most exciting names, and When the Wolf Comes Home is his masterpiece. A relentless chase-movie of a novel, with an incredibly well-executed twist at its centre. But Nat’s real strength lies in his characters—he writes with such emotional depth and empathy that you really really hope at least one of them will make it to the final page. I’m thrilled to have him join Titan’s legendary horror list and I cannot wait to see what he writes next.”
Cassidy added: “Working with Titan is an absolute dream come true for me—not just because I’m so excited for my work to reach readers in the UK, something I know many have been clamouring for, but because I’ll be joining a roster of horror’s heaviest hitters and will get to see When the Wolf Comes Home rub its furry shoulders alongside some of my favourite titles of recent years. Titan Books is the place to be, as far as I’m concerned, and I’m so grateful to be here.”
